YE OLDE SWAN

A TRADITIONAL PUB IN THE HEART OF TOWN
Ye Olde Swan is the traditional place to stay in Brightlingsea, offering warm hospitality with two licensed bars in one of the oldest buildings in the town.
Stuart, Angela and Molly
For over 20 years The Swan has not only been our family business but also our home. With over 500 years of history within its walls, it’s impossible not to fall in love with its features.
From our two open fire places, original beams and traditional bars. In the summer we encourage you to sit outside and enjoy a pint or two on our south-facing seating area on the High Street. If you’d prefer a quieter, more intimate drink, we also offer a private courtyard towards the back of the pub.
We always have three real ales on tap – hugely popular with our locals and guests. We also offer lagers and ciders on draught. From our fridges we offer bottled lagers and ciders, soft drinks, white wines and prosecco. On our shelves we have a selection of malt whiskies, brandies and other spirits for you to enjoy.
Although we do not offer food, we have a small selection of bar snacks. On Sundays we provide home cooked roast potatoes to all of our customers.

We're proud to support local musicians and have hosted the town's folk club for many years. You'll find live music in the bar most Thursday afternoons and alternate Thursday evenings, plus special events at Christmas.

We welcome children under the age of 18 until 7:30pm in the public bar and out-front seating area.

If you're looking to stay in Brightlingsea, we offer bed and breakfast with three comfortable rooms, two en-suite and one with a separate bathroom.

We look forward to making your time with us memorable and enjoyable.
